अमृत According to Hindu mythology, Amrit is a drink, by which, one can become immortal.

According to Hindu mythology, the Gods drank amrit that made them immortal and also gave them more power. It was churned out of the oceans by the gods and demons at the beginning of creation and was consumed to the last drop by the Gods. It was not given to the demons because if the demons would have got hold of it there would have been chaos.

हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, देवताओं ने अमृत पिया था जिसने उन्हें अमर बना दिया और उन्हें अधिक शक्ति भी दी। यह सृष्टि के आरंभ में देवताओं और राक्षसों द्वारा महासागरों से बाहर निकाला गया था और देवताओं द्वारा अंतिम बूंद तक पिया गया था। यह राक्षसों को नहीं दिया गया था।

Amrit is an antidote to death. Anyone who drinks it becomes immortal. It is not available any more. However, even though amrit is not available in a drink form, one can still become immortal by attaining liberation or mukti.
