Miriam, I am a Hindi teacher and I also have a YouTube channel on which I keep uploading videos, as far as I know you can share your screen while teaching online, in which Skype, Zoom etc and many more. All such software with the help of which you can share your screen with your students, but if you want to make videos, then there are many apps that can help you in this work. I have shot from my mobile and with the help of that app took my video there and edit all the necessary text there.you tell me whether it will be right for you. Thank you.

Once I had to record my screen and I used OBS Studio, it worked fine and it's free. For video editing there's Openshot (which I've never tried by the way).
