How can I improve my English without foreigners ? I'm a fan of American TV series . I want to know what they say in the TV series . For one thing  , I must learn English language . For another ,  listening English every day is a good way to improve my ear . And now I pay attention to the way native speakers use it in their daily lives . For example ,  " I am good at chinese.", "but I am interested in English ." . Who would like to improve my English ? If you want to be my English teacher , I'd like to teach your chinese .

What he says is very true.  I am American.  You can learn English from people who do not speak English as their first language.  But, when you speak to a person, such as myself, who has lived in an English speaking country all their life and learned English as a baby from parents who speak English...you learn the language more easily. 

I have been speaking English for 62 years, have two sons who now have a child each.  We all live in the middle of the country, yet I have lived on the west coast of the US and the mountainous region of the Rocky Mountains and also here about 100 or miles from Chicago.

I have had experience in the classroom as a substitute teacher and have helped people to learn my language whose native language is not English.  You can find me on Skype as lynne.lehmer
