My name has Arabic origins and has Turkish, Arabic, Persian and Urdu meanings. It is used commonly in Persian, Dari, Kurdish and Urdu cultures.
In Arabic (it is an uncommon Arabic name though), it means "Respected". Another meaning is "Enduring"
In Turkish, it means "Frost" (very cold and dry weather)
In Persian, it means "Slave (slave of God)" - this meaning was probably derived from the story of Sultan Mahmood's famous Royal servant, whose name was the same. However, another Persian meaning is "Night Breeze" (cool breeze/wind which blows in nighttime).
In Urdu, it means "Baby lion" or "Lion's cub"
I do not know what "Sri" means. It is derived from Javanese word, but "Lestari" means eternal.
My real name is "Fereshteh" it means angel! :)
