What could you get with US$ 30.000 in your country?

Actually, i want to know what could you get with US$ 30.000 in your country? Could you get a house or an apartement? Is it in Village or City? And which kind of an apartement or a house is it?

In the Netherlands at the most you can buy a dog shed for it. Maybe in the rural areas a garage for your car.

Please change 30.000 to 30,000. It made me confused.

US$ 30 allows you go to MCDonals for eight times or have a dinner with 3 or 4 friends in restaurant in Beijing.

US$ 30,000 can buy an intermediate class car here.

Really interesting question. I can live on $30 000 a year but am not able to purchase a house or even a car. Maybe a second hand car...

I live in South Africa. You certainly would not be able to buy a house with that amount. You would be able to afford a small piece of land on which you could build in the future. Perhaps a decent small 4 x 4 vehicle or a reasonable family sedan.

In Costa Rica, you could get a car, although the roads aren't in the best condition. On the other hand, you could invest the money and live on the beach indefinitely.

In the US, you couldn't buy even the tiniest appartment, but you could get ten decent used cars, sleep in one, and lend the other nine to your friends (so you don't have to pay to park them all).

Btw, while most of the world uses a point as a thousands separator, the US uses commas. I'm sure the asker was referring to thirty thousand dollars, since I'm aware of no country that divides their currency in thousandths.
