Knowing a foreign language is a sign of smartness!

Some psychologists beleive that the ones, who know a foreign language fluently, have an IQ (Intelligence Quality) level more than average!

Are you listen about it? If positive, are you agree with that?

Nope! I know two languages perfectly plus two roughly and I'm still an idiot. perhaps with five languages I'll become a genius ;)

“To have another language is to possess a second soul.”

learning  a new language is very beneficial for the brain.. another language can promote brain growth, improves the  memory, improves attention ...Medical studies has shown that learning a second language significantly delayed the onset of many brain related diseases such as Alzheimer and dementia, compared to those who can only speak their native tongue...also their brain will operate differently than the single language speakers...

Good question KP. :) I had to think about the pronouns as I corrected the text.

"Have you heard about this?" = about what I've just written / about the topic at hand, now. This and that are "indicative", ie. they point at it (it is pretty much neutral).  There can be a style choice, so you can use this and that to suggest a psychological distance. So, I chose this to imply "I also like the idea".

Repeating this in the next sentence seems redundant (or worse, persistent). If I use that, then the "appealing idea" suddenly becomes impersonal and distant. How strange. The best option is to go back to the neutral it.

I hope that clears up what's going on inside my English brain. :)

Not really. Hard work and passion are needed to learn languages, not intelligence.

Nawal knows more languages so she could say it better than me. :) joke

Seriously though, well-said Nawal.
