which words in english are difficult to pronounce for you ?
For me: barbiturate , diphtheria, hierarchy, regardless, library
Maybe I have a problem with " R " :)
Yes :) I agree
En France on dit que les ricains roulent le 'R' :)
Actually, it sounds like you're both using the wrong sound for R! Sorryyyy...
English has several ways of managing R, depending on the region. In virtually all cases, it's a liquid sound, and not a fricative like in French or a trill like in Arabic. There are plenty of pronunciation videos online, or a teacher can guide you towards pronouncing R properly. I've discovered with other languages that replacing the correct sound with a substitute sound is simply wrong.
I've never pronounced "water" in the way you describe, Mai. I understand what you're talking about, but that's a regional pronunciation and hardly standard.
What about using vocaroo.com to demonstrate how we pronounce these words? Then some feedback could come about. :)
you know there is a rule in the English Grammer that is when the letter ( T t ) comes between two vowels it spelled ( R r ) then it is difficult for me . Foe example : water >> warer .
