what's wrong with this society Societal Woes

There are some things which make me feel very disappointed to in this society world 1. My sister got caught a cold and she let she asked me buy some Tainuo(a medicine name) for her. When I went to the pharmacy,  a chemist’s shop 2, the apothecary pharmcist advised said that I should buy another medicine instead of the Tainuo. Although it is expensive, it has no side-effect. I thought that it made sense.  So I bought that it. After my sister taking took the medicine, it, she got became worse and she had was admitted to go to the hospital. Later, when she was feeling better she asked me why I didn’t bought buy the medicine that she told had instructed me. I said the apothecarist said told me that Tainuo was harmful to health but this medicine alternative has no side-effect.

“Yes, it has no side-effect, because it has no effect at all. Why do did you listen to her? She just wanted you to buy their most expensive medicine.  She doesn't without caring care about what you need!”

“But they are medical practioners doctors 3, they should care” I retorted said.

“Now the situation has changed. If you don’t believe it, I will shall tell you two true stories.”
Then she said spoke heavily, “A staff in our factory with a severed finger cut was rush to the hospital. The first thing a the nurse asked was not what’s wrong or where was the rest of the finger about the patient's condition or where the rest of the finger was but she asked how much money did you she take? ! You must think it this is so cruel cold blooded?  but it is not the cruelest thing. Another thing which was experience by my friend is much more ironic. Wait till you hear about the story of my friend!  One day she got a disease fell ill with and had to live stay in the hospital. Three men came in carrying a youth whose body boy who was covered by in  blood. Since the boy's family Three of them didn’t take make enough money, so the doctors refused to save him. Next morning my friend didn’t hear the youth uttered any sounds from the boy. He had died during the night!  A person die Dying in the hospital is not normal unheard of but the youth patient died just because doctors didn’t want to save is totally outrageous.him even they could.”

After listening to this hearing the stories, my heart struck with a grave sank in great sorrow. What’s wrong with the people and in this society? Those things These events reminded me of a the movie “Shuttle Island” where in the end of the movie, Leonardo di Caprio said asked, “Which is better? To live as a monster or to die as a good man?"

Over here, it is a crime for a doctor in refusing to save a patient that is capable of saving.  All doctors are sworn the Hippocratic oath before they are can become one.  I knew of a case in Singapore where a doctor refused to provide medical help at an accident scene.  The judge had the Medical Board revoked his medical licence.  The doctor's defense was that he may get sued if something happens to the person who was not his patient, like what they did in America.  The judge rebuked him that this is Singapore not the US.  So the doctor had to migrate to Australia.  In the US, there is the Good Samaritan Law where the patient cannot sure any doctor coming to aid in an emergency if something went wrong.

1.  You can only limit to the society you live in.  Over here, it is illegal for any hospital to refuse any medical help in the emergency room (ER).  Hence all the illegals go to the ER for treatment; thus crowding out the system to its breaking point.  Then the middle class of those who can't afford medical help, also go to the ER thereby compounding matters worse.

2.  A chemist shop is a place where chemicals are sold.  There are no longer any such shops here in the US where someone can go around and get medicine.  The modern name for it is pharmacy and the one dispensing the medicine is a pharmacist.  An apothecary is an old fashioned name.  However it is still valid if the dispenser is still dispenses and formulates traditional herbal Chinese medicine.  Since you used "Chemist shop", I assume that it is western medicine.  If not using apothecary and apothecarist are most suitable terms.

3.  There is a distinction between doctors and other medical practioners in the US.  I don't know about in China.  A pharmacist for example, by law, cannot practise healing and nor can a doctor dispense medicine although he can prescribed them.
