We call someone a hopeless romantic.
But is it really 'hopeless'?

A famous Russian politician, Yavlinsky, when called a romantic, replied: "Yes, I am a romantic, because romantic is an opposite to cynic". As for "hopeless" romantics... I suppose those are called this way who are unlikely to ever turn into cynics ))

I always have had this positive outlook on life. Ok! not always but I try to be hopeful because I have to. As you said Ralph,"You have no choice!" because you need to go on. You need something to light up your way and that's hope. We have reasons to be hopeful, maybe love, work, family, kids.. and since you have these reasons, you can never give up hope. Hopeless?!! Sometimes, yes!! I might lose my hope for a while but I know the way to it and how to get it back.:)))

I am not a hopeless romantic, but I like the fact that romance is different from person to person.I just like to know "what every other eye in this world is dying to hear"

Is there any other kind of romantic? Surely you have to give yourself up completely and only then will chance find you. How hopeless is that? @ Seda - always good to throw in a bit of Sturm und Drang! I heartily approve :)
