How TV destroys communication? Television is an important invention of the 20th century, because it completely chanced human style of life. According to statistic in each house in Ukraine is at least one TV set and average Ukrainian family spend more than 2 hours a day by watching TV programs. As a result, nowadays communication process changed very much due to TV. I try to prove my point in the following paragraphs. Firstly, television badly influenced on face-to-face communication inside the family. There is a tendency today when each member of a family prefers to watch exiting TV-shows or soup operas, rather than discusses boring news that happen in their life. As a result, parents and children very often do not have common interests. Their relationships become colder and colder. And, finally, they lose family value. For example, my Granny wastes too much time by watching stupid serials and when I come to her, she always tells me what happen in your films. So, now I visit her very rarely, because I do not want to hear her stories. Secondly, TV prevents to make new contacts and relationships. There are many lazy people that tend to lying in the sofa, rather than to go to the meeting or to have a lunch in a friend circle. Such kind of people does not take part in an active social interaction. Therefore, if they need to get the new job, they do not have enough contacts in order to obtain some supports. These people also do not follow up-to-day trends, so it is very hard for them to occupy good life niche. In conclusion, I want to emphasize that TV is a powerful media that influents on human love not only positive, but also negative. It obviously gets a bad impact in face-to-face communication and prevents to make new contacts and relationship among social groups.

How TV destroys communication?

Television is a significant 20th century invention in that it completely changed the human lifestyle. According to statistics, there's at least one television set in every Ukrainian home is at least one TV set and the average Ukrainian family watches more than 2 hours of television per day. Consequently, the modern communication process has changed drastically because of television. I'll try to prove my point in the following paragraphs.

Firstly, television has adversely influenced on face-to-face communication within the family. There is a tendency today for family members prefers to watch exiting TV-shows or soap operas, rather than discusses the mundane details of their lives. As a result, parents and children very often do not share common interests. Their relationships become more and more distant. And, finally, they completely lose touch with their families. For example, my grandmother wastes too much time by watching stupid series and when I visit her, she always tells me what's happening in her shows. So, now I only visit her occasionally, because I do not want to hear about her stories.

Secondly, TV prevents people from to making new contacts and relationships. [Television inhibits human interaction]. There are many lazy people that prefer to lie on the couch, instead of meeting with friends for a meal, etc. or to have a lunch in a friend circle. These kinds of people do not participate in any type of active social interaction. The unfortunate consequence is that when they need to get a new job, for instance, they won't have enough contacts to give them references. Additionally, these people also typically do not keep up with modern trends, so it is very hard for them to find their niche in life.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize that television is a powerful media tool that influences on human lives both positively and negatively. It has become clear that it adversely impacts one-on-one communication and prevents people from making new contacts and interacting socially with peers.

You could make a similar case for radio or for writing. Americans used to read newpapers aloud and discuss the news before radio. Why condemn each innovation as it arises? People communicate through whatever media are available and those you use a television, radio, the internet, etc. to waste time are adaptable. Such individuals would not make good use of there time without scapegoats such as television. Personally, I do not watch broadcast television so I spend my time teaching English to others. Is this really more productive?
