Cherish The People Around You
About three years ago, the pressure of money troubled my father. He drank and smoked so much in order to decompress his pressure at that time. As time went by, he went to hospital to have a physical examination. The doctor told my father bad news in which the results of the examination showed a tumor in his liver. My father still continued drinking everyday regardless of his body’s condition. One day, he woke me up in the middle of the night. He said” I am too painful to sleep! I want to go to hospital. Please go with me!” In that time, my mother and I had enough of his intoxication so we believed that he was just a bacchant. I refused to take my father and said” I have to go to school tomorrow.” My father then called my uncle to drive him to the hospital. Since that day, I cannot picture my father in my mind anymore.
I never expected that my father would leave me that fast. I didn’t do anything to show filial pity for him. Even now, I really regret not taking him to the hospital. I thought I was a bad daughter, but after I had gone through my father’s death, I finally realized the importance of cherishing the people around you.
