“距离产生美” How to say translate it in English?

Dear friend, As captioned. Hi, can you please tell me how “距离产生美” How to say it in translates into English? and then When I googled it, The answer is it came out to be “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”. but it However, in Chinese this means "小别胜新婚". So im in I am confused now… [or "I am in confusion now"]

Translating idioms are difficult. For example, the literal translation of "Rome isn't built in a day" is, 羅馬非一日之建. However, a better translation would be 冰凍三尺, 非一日之寒 which when translated back into English is, "The result of the three footed icicyle is not of a day's cold". This is the same as what your confusion is.

Literal translation of 距离产生美 is "distance makes things prettier". The figurative one is Absence makes the heart grow fonder. 小别胜新婚 = A little parting is better than the newly married. The figurative meanings are all the same.

“距离产生美” How to say it in English?

Dear friend, as titled, how to say “距离产生美” in English? I Google'ed it. The answer is “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”. But in Chinese it means "小别胜新婚". So I'm confused now…

"距离产生美" 是怎么用的? 如果就 "距离产生美" 的话 , 我感觉是 "distance creates closer bond" (距离创造更深的情/丝).
