A) Rewrite the following sentences into the passive voice.

1.) Evan drew this picture.
This picture was drawn by Evan.

2.) Our friends have painted the door.
The door has been painted by our friends.

3.) Arisya did not invite me to the party.
I was not invited by Arisya to the party.

4.) The generous lady will make a donation at [the] dinner.
A donation will be made by the generous lady at [the] dinner.

5.) The college is offering evening classes.
Evening classes are being offered by the college.

6.) Farmers grow corn.
Corn is grown by farmers.

7.) Our friends are painting the doors.
The doors are being painted by our friends.

8.) Arisya will not invite me to the party.
I will not be invited by Arisya to the party.

9.) A large number of people speak Spanish.
Spanish is spoken by a large number of people.

10.) The doctor will treat the patient soon.
Soon, The patient will be treated by the doctor soon. [You need to preserve the exact order]



B) Rewrite the following sentences into the active voice.

1.) We were told by our teacher to wait for the girls.
Our teacher told us to wait for the girls.

2.) The trees will be planted by the gardener.
The gardener will plant the trees.

3.) The man was told to leave the house immediately by the villagers.
The villagers told the man to leave the house immediately.

4.) The old lady was consoled by her neighbours.
The old lady's neighbours consoled her. or "The neighbours of the old lady consoled her"

5.) The evening class was offered by the college.
The college offered the evening class.

6.) Their homework will have been finished by nine o'clock.
By nine o'clock, they will have finished their homework.

7.) The tree is being chopped down by the man.
The man is chopping down the tree.

8.) The pretty dolls were made by her.
She made the pretty dolls.

9.) This song will be sung by her.
She will sing this song.

10.) The form has been signed by my father.
My father has signed the form.
