About reading... Different people have different attitude to reading. Some of them have many books in their houses and they consider reading to be their favorite pastime. Other people prefer watching TV to reading books. As for me I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading books. To my mind, books are our best teachers and friends because they have the power to educate and entertain us. I like to read different types of books. When I'm tired I prefer reading romance novels or detectives. When I want something more serious I read philosophical or psychological books. I've read a great number of book, but my favorite one is "Consuelo". This is the novel by one of the greatest French writer George Sand. This book is about the creative girl with strong character. It's a novel about the power of art and talent, but also about the difficult choice between success, fame and personal happiness. This novel is a very neat, subtle and engaging, so I was interested in the events till the last page. I really love it! Also I like to read books of English writers of the 17-18th centuries, such as William Thackeray, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte and other. And of course, I'm very interested in Russian literature, one of my favorite works is "Crime and punishment" by Dostoevsky.

Superb! The only thing i can see except for the sentences i marked, are that you often forget to pluralise things. So 'other' should be 'others' because you are referring to more than one of them. 'Different people have different attitude to reading.' should be 'attitudes' because you've already said 'people' which is more than one 'person', so they have more than one attitude.... attitudes! Just watch out for that 's' when pluralising. Except for that, brilliant!

As for me I get a lot of enjoyment out of reading books. To my mind, books are our best teachers and friends because they have the power to educate and entertain us. I like to read different types of books. When I'm tired I prefer reading romance novels or detective novels. When I want something more serious I read philosophical or psychological books.

I've read a great number of books, but my favorite one is "Consuelo". This is the novel by one of the greatest French writers George Sand.
