Hi,Serena. I'm also confused with the use of some prepositions in English. When should we use this one and when should we use that one. Forfunately the quantities of prepositions used in English are limited. We can gradually compass the use of these prepositions by constantly classifying and summarizing.

Why are prepositions so hard? It seems the only way to learn it them well is by watching(?)/reading/studying a lot? I usually learn about prepositions by watching English movie subtitles/subtitled English movies and reading articles... Does anyone have suggestions on it?

Thank you Eli :) I can understand why you said it's hard to explain, because you just use it that way. For me, I faced some situations like you just pointed out. I can correct and rewrite the foreigners' Chinese but sometimes I can't explain why for them. Cuz we just use it that way.. anyway, thank you for your help :)
