Berlin beer festival

I will talk about a beer festival that takes place in one of my favourite cities in Europe, Berlin. The festival is visited by thousands of people on the first weekend of August.

The Origins of the festival [Titles of paragraphs or news stories often don't need articles]

The festival has its origins in the early 90s, when the city mayor decided to create a festival where the national drink could have an important role during the summer. [Do you mean that they wanted to create a festival during the summer or that they wanted the drink to have an important role during the summer? It's correct but the exact meaning isn't clear.] The community accepted it and proudly celebrated the idea fact proudly, knowing that it would be a marvellous party for all the people of the area.

What happens within at the festival?

This celebration is placed takes place in on one of the main streets of Berlin, the Karl Marx Avenue, which has an impressive length. [Better: which is quite long.] What’s more, the festival itself has a size of three kilometres, the biggest in Germany. From Friday to Sunday, you can find not just the beers created in Germany [Better: beers from Germany / German beers] , but also the most important beers made throughout from around the world. Food, music and funny people fill the entire avenue street and a great experience is always possible, [Better: you can always have a great time] even if you are alone. [notes: "funny" is always about comedy, "fun" is for entertainment and interest. Secondly, if you're abstractly referring to an avenue or lane or street, etc., regardless of its actual title we'll probably just call it a "street." For example, kids are playing on Byron Avenue and their mother yells "Hey, get out of the street!"]

Its importance nowadays today [nowadays is fine but it's pretty casual, so "today" sounds better in this kind of article.]

It is also important to talk about its growth throughout the years. It started out as a little festival, but today is one of the most impressive that you can find anywhere. If you are a beer lover, you will feel be amazed, impressed and fulfilled with by the variety of drinks, the people enjoying the place and the unique experience that this great festival has to offer to any adult.
