Why I'm learning English.

Once, when my family and I with my family arrived to in Israel, I was asked by the border patrol and went to frontiersman he asked me about the reasons for of my arrival to his country. He spoke Hebrew, and English, but not Russian. And I couldn't  explain tell him anything. Then the officer directed us to a frontier office where we waited about an hour for another officer who spoke speaks Russian. Now that case made me happy fun. But during that hour I felt awful myself awful, like the biggest loser, especially in front of my wife and daughters. But that case event helped me to understand that I had to learn English. Well, I've already been doing it for one year. :)

What do you think about my English? Please correct my mistakes.
