Is this sentence correct? Which one is correct and why?
"Why do I have such a good taste in music?" vs "Why do I have such good taste in music?"
Both of these lines are grammatically correct but the meaning is slightly different. In the first one, you have "a". This implies that you have only ONE good taste in music; this means that you have good taste on in music. In other things, you don't have any at all!
Leaving out "a" means that you are talking in general that your taste is good, especially for music.

"Why do I have such a good taste in music?" is correct, at least in my opinion, when one is emphasizing that the taste in music is so good. However one can also say "You have such good taste". It comes down to the context. Perhaps you could supply an example sentence? Most native english speakers haven't studied grammar since being 10 years old, so it is easier to explain grammatical errors in a sentence as opposed to explaining why something is said in a certain way.
