On Personal Faith All types of people live in this world together. They have different values and faiths for life. Many of us are pragmatists or even, may I say, utilitarians. They are easy to be conformists in this world. The top priority of them is to adapt themselves to the society and seek a better life for themselves. During the process, they become more and more obsessed with money and are very likely to lose themselves in this materialistic world. Also, they are prone to do bad things as they do not stand for the truth. They just follow the main stream no matter it is right or wrong. However, many so-called successful people come from this group. Another type of people are those who were born to be thinkers. All their life, they are searching for the truth, and they live for it. People like them have too big minds, therefore they can not stop thinking. The sad thing is they suffer a lot in this world which is full of evil and untruthfulness. They normally live a struggling life, and are often wandering between the two worlds, the world of the others and the world of the truth. They are inclined to be insane. As the truth can be changeable over time, nobody could get the absolute truth at a time. Thus, they are bound to suffer from the endless searching for new truths. They are warriers, as they are brave enough to set themselves free from everything, including the ugly desires of human natures. They know if they do not set themselves free, there will be no room for them to be warriers and thinkers. And yet, some people are there for great love. They are those who believe in the good nature of human beings. They are willing to give and share, care and love. They are loved by many always. However, it is easy for them to be influenced by others’opinions. They just care too much. Thus, they could not be totally free, I mean spiritually, and all their life they consider more of others than themselves. They are selfless, willing to sacrifice and tolerate. But they are tied up all their life. It seems whatever faith you have, you are bound to suffer from some bad sides. I wonder how we could make them together to make a perfect one or maybe there is no perfect faith in this world.

On Personal Faith

Many types of people live in this world together. They have different values and faiths that guide their lives. (The expression "guide their lives" is often used to talk about someone's faith or values)
Many among us are pragmatists or even, may I say, utilitarians. They easily become conformists in this world. Their top priority of them is to adapt themselves to the society andseek a better life for themselves. During this process, they become more and more obsessed with money and are very likely to lose themselves in this materialistic world. Also, they are prone to doing bad things as they do not stand for the truth. They just follow the mainstream, whether it is right or wrong. However, many so-called successful people come from this group.
Another type of people is made up of those who are born to be thinkers. All their life, they search for the truth, and they live for it. People like them have serious minds, therefore they cannot stop thinking. The sad thing is, they suffer a lot in this world because it is full of evil and untruthfulness. They normally live a life of struggle, and often wander between the two worlds, the world of other people and the world of the truth. (You could also say, "the world of outward appearances, and the world of truth) They are inclined to insanity. Becaue the truth can change over time, nobody can ever possess the entire truth at one time(This part sounds a little strange, because the word 'truth' means something that never changes, truth= what is, what is real. For that reason, we would proabably write, 'what people believe to be the truth changes over time') Thus, they are bound to suffer from their endless searching for new truth. They are warriors, as they are brave enough to set themselves free from everything, including the ugly desires of human nature. They know if they do not set themselves free, there will be no room for them to be wariors and thinkers.
And finally, some people live for great love. They are those people who believe in the good nature of human beings. They are willing to give and share, care and love. They are loved by many always. However, it is easy for them to be influenced by others’ opinions. They just care too much. Thus, they cannot not be totally free, in a spiritual sense, and all their life they give more consideration to others than to themselves. They are selfless, willing to sacrifice and tolerate. But they are tied up all their life.
It seems whatever you put your faith in, you are bound to suffer from some of its negative aspects. I wish we could put them together to make a perfect set of values, but maybe there is no perfect faith in this world.
