1. Sounds like a god damn rocket scientist! Haha, it seemed fine, but it has a huge risk of sounding unnatural, and people not understanding what you mean. 2. Sounds very professional, and I'd use it over 1, until you hit the word "mitigating". Mitigating isn't a commonly used word in common the english language, for most of us at least.
