Similar Chinese and Korean words I have just started learning Korean these days. While learning Korean, I discovered there are so many Korean words that have the same meaning, and are similar to Mandarin Chinese in pronunciation. Here are some of the words that I found : 1. big = 大 (da) = 대 (dae) 2. country = 国 (guo) = 국 (gug) 3. embassy = 大使馆 (da shi guan) = 대사관 (dae sa gwan) 4. library = 图书馆 (tu shu guan) = 도서관 (do seo gwan) 5. market = 市场 (shi chang) = 시장 (si jang) 6. restaurant = 食堂 (shi tang) = 식당 (sik dang) 7. public park = 公园 (gong yuan) = 공원 (gong won) 8. department store = 百货店 (bai huo dian) = 백화점 (baek hwa jeom) 9. public officer = 公务员 (gong wu yuan) = 공무원 (gong mu won) 10. exercise = 运动 (yun dong) = 운동 (un dong) 11. swim = 游泳 (you yong) = 수용 (su yeong) 12. love = 爱 (ai) = 애 (ae) 13. hundreds = 百 (bai) = 백 (baek) 14. thousands = 千 (qian) = 천 (cheon) 15. ten thousands = 万 (wan) = 만 (man) 12. open air stall = 包装马车 (bao zhuang ma che) = 포장마차 (po jang ma cha) 13. ....................... Please help me continuing this list up to 100 words if possible. I am very curious. It's vey interesting to see how similar those two languages are! :)

是的。汉语是韩语和日语的母语,所以有很多相似的字。

日语和韩语都是借鉴中国的汉语的对你们来说是很相似的,但是对我们来说差距很大的。你们可以说日语韩语像汉语,但是不能说汉语像日语和韩语,因为中国有五千年的历史,他们都是借鉴我们的就好像母亲和儿子一样不能说反了

Yes. Chinese, Korean and Japanese can be very similar in some ways. I've learned Japanese numbers. It's very similar to Chinese and Sino-Korean numbers. It was very interesting! ^^
