Alfonso Carbone
A little information about me Hi, My name is Alfonso. I’m learning English because I like it and I like can meet new people and speak with them everywhere. I’m from Italy and I’m 38 years old. I live in a small village called Dogliani, near the Langhe. The Langhe are a Vineyard landscape of Piedmont, in the North west of Italy. At the moment they are a Unesco World Heritage. My town is twinned with a French city and a German city. French and German will be next languages who I want to learn, but now I believe it’s more important to study English for to be able to communicate with each town. I’m a “geometra”. In English “geometra” is like a land surveyor or a quantity surveyor. In Italy “geometra” is like an easy version of the architect. My interests are rock climbing, hiking and travelling. Everything who I can do in the open air. The mountains and the sea are an hour’s drive from Dogliani, so as soon as I can I go over there I'm sorry for my mistaches and thank you for the corrections

* 'like to' OR 'can' - not both
** 'for being' OR 'to be'
*** 'Alfonso's' for possession; 'Alfonsos' for plural
**** Google 'moustaches'! It will make you laugh! I am sure you have a very nice moustache - no need to apologise.

A Little Information About Me

Hi, my name is Alfonso. I'm learning English because I like it, and I can meet new people and speak with them everywhere. I'm from Italy, and I am 38 years old. I live in a small village called Dogliani, near Langhe. Langhe is a vineyard landscape in Piedmont, in Northwestern Italy. At the moment, it is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. My town is twinned with a French city, and a German city. French and German will be the next languages that I want to learn, but right now, I believe it's more important to study English, to be able to communicate with each town.

I'm a "geometra". In English "geometra" is like a land surveyor, or a quantity surveyor. In Italy, a "geometra" is like an easier version of an architect. My interests are rock climbing, hiking, and traveling. Anything I can do in the open air. The mountains and sea are an hour's drive from Dogliani, so as soon as I can, I go over there. I'm sorry for my mistakes, and thank you for the corrections.

Alfonso, this being your first notebook entry, I think you did a good job! I did note several grammar mistakes and a some minor spelling mistakes. It's okay that you've made some mistakes, that's how you learn, so don't feel bad about your mistakes that's normal especially when learning a language like English! I would be happy to help you learn and improve your English if you would like, if you have any questions, please let me know!
