Day 2 Homelessness to Harvard

Today, I want to talk about the movie named (it better to write "is called") Homelessness to Harvard.I first watched this movie when I just ended finished my high school. I remembered clearly (it reminds me of that) I was so inspired by it in that summer holiday. I wished I watched it before the College entrance examination.I think this is a good movie to inspire students before exam especially, the college entrance examination.

This movie is about a girl was named Liz, around 15 years old from an extremely dysfunctional Bronx family, who tries did her best to ( achieve) complete her dream. Her mother is was addicted to drugs .Her father isn't wasn't good at social and just watches Jeopardy ran into trouble all day. He didn't doesn't have a job and is was unable to earn the money by himself. For liz who lives in such a kind of family, it is hardly for her to get Harvard's offer but finally she make it. (I think you should use simple past in place of simple present)
Liz‘s parents are unable to take care of their child. In school nobody likes to play with her because she doesn't offer take shower so she smells really bad. Some kids make fun at of her. So she has not friend in school. However, she get A in all subjects even though she misses  many classes. Her teacher thinks this is unbelievable.

After when her mother dies died of AIDS, which she got from sharing needles during her drug abuse, she gets a 'slap in the face' by her mother's death. She realized there is no one to rely on, therefore she have to take care of herself and the only one way to change her poor life is to study hard to get the Harvard’s scholarship. from that time on, she tried to find any chance to study. she studied when she was doing part time job or on the subway to work. Finally, she amazingly completed in two years, rather than the usual four. She becomes a star top student and earns a scholarship to Harvard University through an essay contest sponsored by the New York Time.

she gave a speech at school's opening ceremony. I remember clearly when the Journalist asked her that how did she made it. she said that I work as possible as I can and see what happen.

After her mother dies of AIDS, which she got from sharing needles during her drug abuse, she gets a 'slap in the face' by her mother's death. (This sentence doesn't make sense. If you use the phrase 'slap in the face', you are supposed to allude to it to imply the metaphor. Therefore, you could say "Her mothers death, caused by sharing needles, was a slap in the face for Liz) she realized there is no one to rely on therefore she has to take care herself and the only one way to change her poor life is to study hard to get the Harvard’s scholarship a scholarship from HarvardFrom then on, she finds any chance to study. She studies when she is doing part time job work or on the subway to work. Finally, she amazingly finished in two years, rather than the usual four. She gave a speech at school's opening ceremony.I remember clearly when the journalist asked her that how did she made she did it. She said that "I work as hard as possible as i can and see what happens"
