We are watching “Harry Potter” in class. We learned some new grammar from it. I learned how to use doubt and suspect. I know both mean "to doubt" in Japanese, but I learned for the first time that they are used differently. "Doubt" means you think someone did NOT do something, while "suspect" means you think someone DID do it.

Today, we watched "Harry Potter" in class. We learned some new grammar through the film. I learned how to use the words doubt and suspect. I know that both words can be translated as "to doubt" in Japanese, but today I learned that they are used differently. Doubt means that you think someone did not do something, whereas suspect means that you think someone did do it.
