My son and I were playing Monopoly and I said, "You own all three properties of this color, so I have to pay DOUBLE THE RENT for this one when I go there." Does it sound natural? How about this: I have to pay TWICE AS MUCH as the rent on the deed? Thank you and good morning. :)

My son and I were playing Monopoly and I said, "You own all three properties of this color, so I have to pay you double if I land on one of them." This is how I would say it.:)

Double the rent sounds correct unlike the other statement.

Natural would be ‘when I land there’
