"Stochastic" is a synonym for "random". Haphazard refers to the lack of organization(unsystematic) , randomly placing objects without order. "Occasional" points to something that appears or occurs from time to time or at random. The term " random" has different meanings depending on the context. Random can refer to something that is made or happens without method or an order less organization or inconsistent
