Japan has a life of dishes that are famous all over the world, but I would say sushi and ramen are the two things you should never miss. I do know these are popular and what tourists visiting Japan usually experience, but these are very different from what they are in other countries. When I was in the US, I got to try something called sushi, but it was definitely not "real sushi.". It was really surprising for me to know that many people outside of Japan believe that it was sushi. I would recommend going to Kanazawa or Hokkaido if you want to try very delicious sushi, because they are famous for their seafood. Of course you can eat sushi in any other place in Japan, too. I can say the same thing with ramen. I was really shocked to see what they sold as "ramen" in other countries. I am not saying everything called sushi or ramen in other countries is terrible, but they are different. I think you should give them a try if you ever visit Japan, even if you think you have already tried those food.
