How do you say when someone is pretending to be nice to someone you don't like? Does it sound natural to say "You don't have to put on the show for him!"

You could say "you don't have to put on A show for him" (not "the" show). Another great word is "obsequious". As in- you don't have to be so obsequious." Obsequious means to be overly nice to someone in a false or fake way.
