there are a few factors here: 1: Connections, you have a good relation with the bosses so they promote you. 2: Is by chance, that maybe someone is leaving that position so they need find someone urgent to fill that position so you get bumped up. 3: You work really hard and go the extra mile to do the little extra and your bosses see that you really do your best and feel you are worthy of a promotion
