From December 25 to December 27, my husband and I took a plane to go sightseeing in Miyako Island, Okinawa Prefecture. It was a three-day, two-night trip. I left home at 6 am and arrived at Miyakojima at noon. I expected sunny and warm weather, but it was cloudy and sometimes rainy, and the daytime temperature was only 15 degrees Celsius. I was wearing a thin down jacket. At the airport I rented a car. First we saw the street pond connected to the saltwater cave. The pond was dark blue and mysterious. Then I walked around Shimojishima Airport to take pictures of airplanes. Then we crossed the 3.5 km Irabu Ohashi Bridge and moved to Miyako Island. The view was very beautiful with the blue color of the sea standing out. If it had been sunny, it would have been even more beautiful. We then went to the German Village in Ueno, but it was deserted and there were no Christmas exhibits. After that, I checked into a hotel. I told the rental company that the power steering of the rental car was heavy and the tires had no grooves and I was worried about a flat tire, so they replaced it with a new Toyota Prius that was in good condition. We had seen so much of the ocean that we were beginning to get tired of looking at it. It was a tiring day.
