Due to the fact that I like different genres and it sometimes depends on my current mood, I do not have one favorite movie of all time. But when I read this question, I immediately remembered "The Colour of a Pomegranate" by the Armenian director Sergei Parajanov. The plot does not matter to me, but, if you are interested, it's the story about a Medieval Armenian poet's life. The movie has amazing and has very beautiful scenes of local nature, architecture, costumes and atmosphere in general. I put some screenshots of it for you to see.
