The Tim じぁん!!!
It's sunny today. Before long I got home, MeeMaw came seeking help while on edge. It turned out her business plan for a home cleaning service company was actually working—someone had requested her services online. However, there was a problem. Initially, she had planned to manage the business as the manager and hire one or two part time cleaners. Alas, those people she had initially agreed to hire are now backing out. Frankly speaking, they literally stood her up! I guess they might have thought the job is a bit underpaid, but a deal is a deal. This is a sticky situation; if she turns down the customer, it would damage her reputation from the start. So, my mom has to step in to help. She'll be MeeMaw's first employee, working as a housemaid, cleaning and scrubbing around until MeeMaw has hired someone reliable. The way I see it is that you should never take people's promises for granted, as they don't always follow through. And more importantly, you need a great Mom! Stay smart and always have a backup plan!

Great job! Your English is fantastic. I would avoid using “literally” in this specific instance. Your use of the idiom “stood up” is absolutely correct, but if that phrase is taken **literally**, it means your MeeMaw was sitting down and the people picked her up by her shoulders to make her stand up. 😅

I hope it works out! Manage as the manager sounds a little strange although it’s not wrong.
