Report on the change in turnover for three different types of outlet.
The purpose of this report
is to compare the changes in turnover of three kinds of outlet.
Department stores
As we can see from the bar chart, turnover experienced a downward trend from
$50 M to around $35 M between 2000 and 2001 and then levelled off at this amount in 2002.
Supermarkets
In contrast with the department stores, turnover presented a steady increase during the three years, reaching $80M in 2002 from a starting point of approximately $65m.
Small shops
From the chart, it can be seen that the figure decreased from $30m in 2000 to $25m in
2001. However, it bounced back to $25M in the final year.
In conclusion, turnover at supermarkets is
the highest, more effort needs to be paid to increase sales at the other outlets.
