very much = a lot
too much = more than enough
so much = a lot (but informal)
so much is also used in a sentence like this one (here others cannot be used instead)
I like chatting so much that I often lose track of time.
... so much that ...

Here's another explanation
"Very" emphasizes the concept expressed with an adjective.
Thank you very much for your lovely gift.
"Too " expresses excess.
This coat costs too much . Maybe my older sister can buy it. for me?
"So" means to an extent or degree as expressed;
He ate so much that he could hardly stand up
