oder
"In China fällt ein Sack Reis um."
There's a lot of rice in China. Sometimes this saying is with bicycles. We think every Chinese has a bicyle. And there are lots of them.
Something very common happens. Nothing of interest. I'm not interested in what you say.

das Sommerloch = the summer gap
Nothing new in the news. In summer usually nothing worth reporting happens. Sometimes the newspapers are printing anything they can get to fill their pages.
