Could you tell me how to understand its meaning?
"Suppose someone hits you on one cheek, turn your other cheek to him also."
It's easy to understand its literal meaning. But how to comprehend the deep meaning of the sentence.

Hi , this is from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount which is found in the Bible.
"But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."
- Matthew 5:38-42
The meaning is to not take vengeance or be retaliatory towards anyone. If someone does wrong to you, don't adopt the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" mentality.
Figurative Interpretation from Wikipedia:
They note that at the time of Jesus, striking someone deemed to be of a lower class with the back of the hand was used to assert authority and dominance. If the persecuted person "turned the other cheek," the discipliner was faced with a dilemma. The left hand was used for unclean purposes, so a back-hand strike on the opposite cheek would not be performed. The other alternative would be a slap with the open hand as a challenge or to punch the person, but this was seen as a statement of equality. Thus, they argue, by turning the other cheek the persecuted was in effect demanding equality.

Actually the deeper meaning is terribly obvious.

The deeper meaning is very close to the literal meaning, this one isn't quite like Plato or Aristotle.
If your only reaction is to "turn the other cheek" when you get hit then think about what you haven't done even though it might have be more natural or instinctual.

For me that would mean that the person being slapped doesn't trouble; or that he's showing his humility by offering his other unslapped cheeck.
