~te + imasu / ~te + iru/ru I was just wondering how to use a ~te form verb then added with "imasu" and ~te form verb added with "ru". Whats the difference and how to use it?

te+imasu = polite (use it when you're talking to people you don't know or your boss, elderly people etc. te+iru or ru = informal (use it when talking to your friends)

て+います て+いる(る)はおなじいみです。 どちらも present continuous tense ですが て+います のほうがていねいないいかたです。
