"I told wrongly" or " I told you the wrong information" which one is better? or any better expression?

Say "I told you the wrong information". My favorite is to say I misspoke, which I must say often.

In everyday American usage, I think ''I GAVE you the wrong information" would be most common. We also say, "I told you the wrong thing."
