Can anyone think of a good analogy for “困难像弹簧,你强它就弱,你弱它就强。” in English?
这是一条谚语 我不知道怎么翻译才能表达这个意思

Literally, "Trouble is like playing the reed of the flute. When you are strong, it becomes weak but when you becomes weak, it becomes strong."
After polishing:
"Trouble is like blowing the reed the reed of the flute. When you blow hard, it bends in malleability but springs back when the pressure is gone."
More polishing and figuratively:
Troubles are flexible and yet resilient. When you flex your muscles, they wane but wax if you retreat.

trouble are like a spring depends on how hard you press on,
见笑~ 乱翻的~!
或者这样来:
Difficulties are like spring, you are strong when it got weak, you are weak when it got strong
好玩吧~ 嘿嘿~ O(∩_∩)O
