"If you give a man the fish, he will be totally weirded out" what does this mean?
I heard this line from Chinese Comedian Joe Wong's new show, and audience laughed when hearing it. Could someone tell me what's the joke here? Thanks

The original quote is something like "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime."
Joe Wong's joke is based on literally giving someone a fish. The person will wonder why on earth you did so.

It's a play on a english saying, "if you give a man a fish, he eats for a day. if you teach a man to fish he will eat for a lifetime."
he's just stating that the parable if thought about in a modern context is pretty out of place

I think the original quote might be from the bible. I'm not sure though.
