hi, I know what you have been through; it is a difficult job. This is somehow the same here. But I have a good way of grading and correcting the papers. - First , while I am making a test I design an answer sheet for it this will save more time while I am trying to correct them. - second, I correct one question at a time from each paper, this way I will have all answer in my mind; so no need to look at the keys. If you think this is boring you may choose to correct each one page at a time while you are correcting them, so you have no complete grades till the end of the range of the papers. ;) -third , Mostly I try to use objective test to fulfill the educational aims. - forth, I try to make my scoring time interesting by defining a limited time to finish the bunch of papers, I try to attack the time to finish it :D haha.......... you may find it silly but this way I enjoy scoring the papers. :D hope all these will help you my friend ;)

really tough job... but why don't you use objective type question method.. first make the question and it's answer sheet simultaneously then check the exam's sheet according to your answer sheet.. another method you can use is OCR ...or you can take help of anyone in your family or friends for checking the papers.. :)

Hi , I know how you feel. At my high school they advise us to use our criteria marking sheet and skim read the exam papers quickly first and then put them into piles on a long table according to what you think their grades are. Example: A's B's, C's etc. Read all the A's and determine the best essay and use it as a guide to mark the others. Do you have a criteria sheet?
