I hear- i geot, i geon, and i geo
are these different pronunciations for the same word?
am I just hearing wrong?
If I am hearing right, what are the differences in usage?

"i geot" and "i geo" mean the same, the latter is just for easier pronunciation. "i geon" is "i geot" combined with the topic particle "-eun" --> i geoteun = i geon "This thing, which is the topic, ...".
You might also here "i geol" which is a combination of "i geo" and the object particle "-reul" :)
