What is the meaning of "to cause" plus verb? I think that this is kinda "making someone to do sth", but I'm not sure. He was caused to do that work. He was made to do that work. Thank you in advance!

He was made/forced to do that work. B caused him to do that work. A was caused by B Cause does not mean force or making somebody or something do something. If A causes B to do something, A was the reason that B did it. We have cause to celebrate (cause here is a noun)
