Usually 果物 pronounce くだもの (kudamono)
We usually use フルーツ(fruits) instead of 果物(くだもの)
You can use both words.

”果物”coreect reading is Kudamono in this case if you want say ka(果) something you shuld
say kajitsu but kanji changes "果実” both same meaning in use
果物 hervest from tree usually sweet but incl. berrys and molon
果実 tree seed usually sweet but incl berrys and molon
