What does 'descendant' mean?
Hi, I didn't understand the meaning of descendant. If someone is descendant of someone else, do they need to be related by blood, and what is the difference if it is direct descendant? Thanks.

That's not right. You are never a descendant of your aunts or uncles!
As far as I can see - "direct descendant" is tautological.

A descendant is somebody related to an ancestor by blood or marriage.
Your descendants would be your children, grand children, great great grandchildren and so forth.
When you say "direct", you are descendants of your parents, grandparents, great grandparents, great great grandparents, etc.
If it is not direct, it includes other relatives like great grand-uncles or aunts.
