They are the same. However, more native English speakers would say, "excited about doing" than would say "excited to do."

Excited to do: Used to express tasks we do.
Ex: I am excited to do the mile run today.
Excited about(preposition) doing: On the verge of ; close to doing.
Ex: I am exited about doing the mile run today.
