Example: The gerund of "leer" (to read) is "leyendo" and not "leiendo" even though they sound the same. The gerund of "ir" (to go) is "yendo" and not "iendo" even though they sound the same. Hello, I think is very similar than in English. When you use the present continuous you need "ing", in Spanish is the same but with; ANDO, ENDO. I´m playing Yo estoy jugANDO. I´m eating Yo estoy comiENDO. La explicación del otro compañero es muy correcta. Suerte!
