What is the difference in meaning between the modal verb "dare" and the main verb "dare"? Tell me, please, in what cases we have to use the modal verb "dare" and in what cases the main verb "dare"?

Both dares have the same meanings. In most situations, the modal form is used the most commonly, as the normal verb form is longer. "Dare he?" = "Does he dare?" "I dare say..." = "I dare to say..." "He dare not." = "He doesn't dare." "How dare you?" = "You dare?"
