Question about stylistics: acronym If the original name of an acronym is not in English, is it OK if I write the name in English or should I write both? For example, FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile; International Federation of the automobile) or FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) or FIA (International Federation of the automobile)

If it's a proper noun, you can write it in it's original language (as long as it uses Latin characters or similar). You can include the translation in brackets if you wish. Ex: "Late this evening, the founder of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (International Federation of the Automobile) said that the FIA will..."
