When referring to 'journey', does the word 'passage' only mean journey by ship? Can I use 'passage' to refer to a journey by other means of transport? Thank you.Such as the novel "A passage to India", the Chinese translation is "A journey to India", which can not embody the details. But the Collins dictionary indicates it means journey by ship. So I am not sure about the usage of the word.

"Passage" is simply the act of passing through (as a concept). You can use it for any form of transport, but it seems to fit maritime travel best (perhaps due to the lack of roads and rails?).
